Does anyone remember the computer game Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? Or the television series (there were three of them) which have won an Emmy and a Peabody? Apparently the group Walden Media bought the rights to turn it into a big screen adaptation back in 2011, and have just hired on writer Darren Lemke, the man behind Shrek Forever After, and the upcoming releases Jack the Giant Killer and Turbo.
Jennifer Lopez is apparently producing this project, and could be eyeing to star as the detective Sandiego herself. It’s still very early in the game, and we all know in the film world, these projects can get shelved for years before getting a release, but it would be cool to see the childhood video game favorite brought to the big screen.
