After hitting most of South America last year, the big-screen adaptation of Hanna Barbera’s Top Cat is said to hit the UK this summer! This adaptation will produce a tidal wave of nostalgia for all those 80’s and 90’s kids out there and appeal to the younger generation through the cheeky character of T.C!
Top Cat, as I’m sure you all know is about an intelligent alley cat and his group of feline friends that go around Manhattan in search for the nice and easy life. Adding some drama into their comfortable lives, the gang always have run-ins with Officer Dibble. Now these run-ins are not scary or threatening, 9 times out of 10, Dibble just chases the group, falls into a rubbish bin and leaves the cats to go on with their lives. Typical 1990’s stuff!
However, the film adaptation sees a new police chief with his high-tech methods, forcing the easy going Officer Dibble into early retirement in an act to clean up the alleys for good and it is up to T.C and the gang to save the day.
