A name change for the third film in the Hobbit series is reportedly under discussion at New Line. The final installment in the trilogy could be renamed The Hobbit: Into The Fire.
According to TheOneRing.net, New Line has had the subtitle officially registered. The film is currently titled The Hobbit: There And Back Again, but that could be changing and the subtitle has significance as it is the title of a chapter in J.R.R. Tolkien’s original novel and is also spoken in the film.
Doubtless, the subtitle could be for something else entirely, such as a video game or some other tie-in product, but all should be revealed in the next few months. There And Back Again or Into The Fire – whatever it is called, the final installment in the Hobbit trilogy will open in the UK on 12 December 2014.
