If you are going to have a husband or a father; your best bet is to make sure they’re an ex CIA agent who knows how to handle a gun… or just Liam Neeson! The gun-wielding, stunt enthusiast is back in the hot seat for the up and coming sequel to Pierre Morel’s crime thriller Taken. Cast your minds back to 2008, when retired CIA agent Bryan Mills had the shock of his life when he heard his daughter Kim’s (Maggie Grace) screams as she was abducted by sex traffickers. Infuriated and scared out of his mind, Mills fought tooth and nail to get his daughter back and with his kick-ass fighting skills he succeeds. Not bad for an old guy!
However, criminals can hold a massive grudge! A four year grudge by the looks of things, as after a surprise visit from his daughter and wife (Famke Janssen) in Istanbul, Bryan’s wife gets abducted by the father of the kidnapper that took his daughter. Bryan ropes in help from Kim and together they try and save Lenore from a potentially premature death. But they will succeed for the second time? Director Olivier Megaton takes over the all powerful reins for the sequel, so we will have to wait until the end of the year before we can make the decision as to which is best; the original or the sequel?
