Universal’s animation company; Illumination have not been giving us many clues as to what the narrative for Despicable Me 2 will entail. However, what we do know is that Steve Carell will return to play the not so evil villain Gru, Russell Brand will be continuing to play Gru’s scientist assistant Dr Nefario. Kristen Wiig will play Miss Hattie once again and Miranda Cosgrove has been confirmed to play oldest child Margo. Oh yeah and of course the minions will feature in the sequel too! Yay!
The evil villain up against Gru will be voiced by none other than Al Pacino who locked the deal last February.
So I hear you ask, who will Steve Coogan be playing? Well to be honest, nobody knows! Illumination will not give anything away as to who the comedian could be playing. But the film will be out in June next year but if you can’t wait to get your Coogan fix then catch him in Ruby Sparks, What Maisie Knew and Michael Winterbottom’s The King Of Soho.
