After it’s success at last years Sundance Film Festival Sound of My Voice is headed our way. Co-written by star Brit Marling with director Zal Batmanglij, the film brings us into the world of would be documentarians Peter (Christopher Denham) and Lorna (Nicole Vicius) infiltrating the inner circle of a Los Angeles cult. They key figure at the head of this group is the un nerving character of Maggie (Brit Marling). Maggie claims to be from the year 2054, and is terminally ill.
As peter delves further into the environment they have encountered, it becomes clear that Maggie is convinced that she has travelled back in time to 2011 in order to save society from it’s immanent collapse.
Not much more is known about this picture, but it has been compared to both Donnie Darko and Memento…nothing more need be said.
Sound of My Voice is due for US release on the 27th of April, there is no set Uk release date as yet but hopefully the trailer below can keep you ticking over.
