Visionary director Steven Soderbergh’s latest psychological thriller Side Effects sees once highflying couple Emily (Rooney Mara) and husband (Channing Tatum) now attempting to piece their life back together after his release form prison. Suffering with severe depression following a car crash, Emily seeks the help of psychiatrist Dr Jonathan Banks (Jude Law) who prescribes the latest medication to relieve her symptoms.
Before long however Emily finds herself caught in a chemical fuelled parallel existence where the distinction between reality and fantasy becomes harder and harder to make.
