The first film poster saw Kristen Stewart take the limelight with her face as the central image and the other characters being reduced to the sides of the interior mirror. Walter Salles has brought out a new poster that focuses on Tom Sturridge’s character Carlo Marx with the tagline “We’re alive”. Sounds ominous! Check out the poster below!
The film’s narrative is about the Beat Generation where artists and writers decided to leave behind their dead end lifestyles by going on the road and really focusing on their writing. Sturridge’s Carlo Marx is believed to have been a “code” name for the poet Allen Ginsberg. But wait a minute… Isn’t there already a film coming out about the beat generation poet Allen Ginsberg starring Daniel Radcliffe? Now you mention it, On the Road does have some serious parallels with Kill Your Darlings. We will have to wait to see the obvious similarities between the two films when they are released.
On the Road will be released in the UK late September.
