It would seem that the Saw and The Conjuring creators have found another winning formula on this franchise, filming the movies on very meagre budget of a couple of million and then watching the money roll in with the first film making almost 100 million and the sequel expected to do the same business.
Leigh Whannell has been confirmed to be writing the script again, but its not clear yet whether James Wan, the director, will be returning as he is currently working on Fast & Furious 7. It is also uncertain whether any of the main cast will be returning with the end of the second film hinting at moving away from the Lambert family and going elsewhere. Patrick Wilson has also claimed that he is happy with the sequel’s resolution and he doesn’t know where the third film would go.
