Surprisingly, the kiddie’s monster flick; Hotel Transylvania, managed to generate more than $253 million worldwide, so it is not a shock that Sony have decided to look into bringing Sandler and his comedic mates back into the animated limelight… or should we say moonlight?
The studio have already decided on a release date, which is a bit premature considering the feature does not even have a director or a basic narrative yet! But the US release date for the sequel will be September 25 2015 and we’re sure the UK date will follow close behind.
Original director Genndy Tartakovsky, whose creativity was probably one of the main reasons why the feature made money to begin with (apart from the awesome actors who gave their voices), has already moved on to his next project, Popeye, thus will not be able to direct Hotel Transylvania 2. So, which director is witty enough and knows a lot about animation to be able to make the sequel a box office smash? We will leave you with that question!
Fingers crossed the project can get a decent script writer soon so that Sandler, Kevin James, David Space, CeeLo Green, Steve Buscemi, Andy Samberg and Selena Gomez can all return to the voice booths and get this monster vacation started!
