Helena Bonham Carter has recently entered talks to co-star alongside Carey Mulligan in new period film Suffragette. Just as the title suggests, the movie’s plot will be based around the real life actions and struggles of the feminist movement The Suffragettes, who were most famous for being at the forefront of campaigns for women’s right to vote.
While a date has not yet been set to begin shooting, the movie will be directed by Sarah Gavron and financed by Film4 and Pathe Films. Helena Bonham Carter can also be seen starring as the Fairy Godmother in Disney’s new version of Cinderella which is due for release March 2015.
