During a Reddit Q&A session Harrison Ford, between revelations about snakes and David Blaine, he shared his thoughts on the possibilities of a Blade Runner sequel.
“I’m quite curious and excited about seeing a new script for Blade Runner”, Ford wrote. “If in fact the opportunity would exist to do another, if it’s a good script I would be very anxious to work with Ridley Scott again. He’s a very talented and passionate filmmaker.”
Ridley Scott is already on record saying that the sequel to his Philip K. Dick-inspired sci-fi “will happen sooner or later” and Ford’s enthusiasm means that things are starting to fall into place for the return of this fan-favourite.
“I quite understand that everybody has an ambition when they come and do a film, and everyone’s ambition may not be focused on the same thing. I truly admire Ridley as a man and as a director, and I would be very happy to engage with him again in the further telling of this story.”
Not much else has been revealed surrounding the return of Blade Runner, however it’s likely to become clear within the next few months.
