The director of both, Tom Six, promised us a trilogy though and the good news for fans is that with production currently under way on The Human Centipede 3 (Final Sequence); a first look of the movie has been released in the form of an official still.
The photo shows both protagonists from the first two movies, actors Dieter Laser and Laurence R. Harvey standing in the corridor of a maximum security prison. Six has confirmed that this will be the setting for the film and that both actors will be playing new roles this time round.
Six has also stated, rather surprisingly, that this part will not be as graphic as the previous two: “THC Part 3 will be totally different from Parts 1 and 2 and certainly not as gross, but it will be the most controversial one politically-wise. It will have a lot of self-mockery and will be the most darkly comical of the three.”
He has also hinted at the better production of the final part as well as the size of the centipede which grew from 3 people in Part 1, to 12 in Part 2: “Parts 1 and 2 have a very European feel. Part 3 is very American with the highest budget, a big movie score, widescreen, and an XXL human centipede.” Rumours have been circulating that this could in fact be up to approximately 500 people in length.
The cast this time round also includes acting veteran Eric Roberts and former porn-star Bree Olson. Six also admits that there will be a cameo from himself as well.
With a release date yet to be confirmed, expect to see The Human Centipede 3 (Final Sequence) over here at some point later on this year.
