Concept Art Released For Disney’s Frozen!

We have managed to get hold of the first officially released art piece for Disney’s brand new animation Frozen. Take a look here!

In 2009, the Dream Factory was working on two new major releases; The Princess and the Frog and Frozen. However, due to financial issues and scheduling clashes, Disney pushed through with The Princess and the Frog, which ultimately became a revolutionary Disney film. But now, 4 years later, Disney has managed to rid the cobwebs and thaw the ice and get going on this feature. Lucky for us, the studio have released a snippet of the film’s overall look, which you can take a look at below supplied by Entertainment Weekly!

Frozen, which will be released at the tail end of 2013, stars the voices of Kristen Bell and original Green Witch Idina Menzel. The film will follow two opposing magical sisters; Anna (Bell), who is caring and her sister Elsa (Menzel), who, out of some unknown rage, has cursed their land with an ever-lasting winter. Anna decides to set out of a mission to find her sister and stop her from ruining their kingdom. But she doesn’t go alone… oh no! Anna meets adventurer Kristoff (Jonathan Groff… potentially) and they go on the frosty quest together.

Co-director Jennifer Lee has mentioned, “We wanted to push it to the extreme. The unnatural quality of the ice emphasises [that] this is not, you know, sky-made ice, but ice made by someone.”

Frozen will be released next year just in time for Christmas on 20th December. But keep those eyes peeled for more information on this development at a later date!
