Chuck Palahniuk has announced that he is planning on writing a sequel to Fight Club, probably his most famous creation, that spawned the cult film directed by David Fincher and staring Brad Pitt and Ed Norton.

He is writing for Dark Horse Comics and he has said that it will be a ten-issue series illustrated by Cameron Stewart, to be released in May 2015.

The Dark Horse Comic’s blog has summarised the plot of the sequel and where the story picks up after the end of the first book. From the blog they state: “Fight Club 2 takes place alternately in the future and the past. It picks up a decade after the ending of his original book, where the protagonist is married to equally problematic Marla Singer and has a nine year-old son named Junior, though the narrator is failing his son in the same way his dad failed him.”

Palahniuk has also been speaking to USA Today about the possible return of Tyler Durden, made so infamous by Pitt in the movie. He said: “Tyler Durden is something that maybe has been around for centuries and is not just this aberration that’s popped into his mind.”
