Source: SinisterThe first official casting announcement has been made for Sinister 2 with Shannyn Sasoman and James Ransone set to play the leading roles in the sequel to the 2012 supernatural horror film.
While James Ransome will be reprising his role as the nameless deputy, Shannyn Sasoman will be playing the title’s latest leading lady. An official synopsis has also been revealed for the film along with the casting announcements.
The official synopsis goes like this: “In the aftermath of the shocking events in Sinister, a protective mother (Sossamon) and her 9-year-old twin sons (Robert and Dartanian Sloan) find themselves in a rural house marked for death.“
Despite being the original director, Scott Derickson will only be co-writing the script along with C. Robert Cargill this time around, with Ciaran Foy behind the camera for the sequel.
Sinister 2 will open in the US on 21 August 2015, with a UK date yet to be announced.
