Is Cars 3 Being Worked On By Pixar?

Cars was probably Pixar’s least loved film if reviews are anything to go by, by then they decided to do a sequel, Cars 2, which subsequently adopted this title. Apparently though, a potential third film in the Disney and Pixar franchise is also in the works.

Michael Wallis who was a voice actor on the previous two Car films was speaking on a radio interview last week and revealed that “Cars 3, we’re coming back to the road”, however seeing as he doesnt really have any say in what films Pixar are making, this was just speculation.

However, Bob Iger, the CEO of Disney has previously said that they are working on another sequel, besides Finding Dory, and that it would be made and released within the next 5 years along with The Good Dinosaur, and so he may well be referring to Cars 3.

The films themselves still socred highly with the kids though, if not the critics, and made 1 billon dollars between them, and that’s even before we count the merchandise sold as well. Them, alongside Disney Toon Studio’s Planes trilogy that is currently one film in as well, mean that the Car/Plane universe that they both inhabit, shows no signs of slowing down.
