Finally we get to see what director Kimberly Peirce is made of with her remake of Brian De Palma’s 1976 horror feature; Carrie! But before we show you the official trailer; we will give you a basic synopsis. Based on Stephen King’s novel with the same name; Carrie White (Chloe Grace Moretz) is a troubled young girl who is mentally abused by her God loving mother (Julianne Moore) and is physically abused by her classmates. However, when she develops telekinetic powers, Carrie’s bullies realise that she now has the potential to be a very dangerous threat.
So instead of listening to us harping on why not check out the official trailer below. But be warned… there will be blood and lots of it!
The trailer, accompanied by a mildly terrifying score, reveals the result of Carrie’s telekinetic rampage. We get a little insight into Moretz’s portrayal of Carrie and we don’t know about you but we were pretty darn freaked out by the blood, insane laughing and the look of dangerous determination on her face.
Carrie will reach our UK screens on April 5, 2013 but if you can’t wait to see the film then check out Brian De Palma’s 1976 version… or if you are feeling really intrigued then read the novel!
