Peter Jackson loves getting everyone all hyped up for his epic fantastical adventure films doesn’t he? Well The Hobbit team have created an interactive poster for you to feast your eyes upon! Check out the poster in its entirety, featuring many arty scenes over at Entertainment Weekly.
How about that for a game of dominos? An interactive poster, with several arty scenes from the long anticipated film, along with a magnify glass to get into all the nooks and crannies… what more could you ask for? The banner looks more like it should be found dirty and crumpled in the Middle-Earth rather than on the common billboard!
So what does the banner tells us about The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey? Well it shows us the trials and tribulations that poor Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) will have to go through; as well as a look into Gollum’s (Andy Serkis) cave, a burning forest full of wolves and the first look at Beorn (Mikael Persbrandt), the brand new shape-shifting character that accompanies the group through their journey. You can see him as the gigantic black bear casually chatting with Gandalf (Ian McKellan). You can also see Cate Blanchett’s Galadriel in the middle part of the poster!
Ultimately, the poster gives us a massive insight into how the film will look aesthetically. Expect everything that Lord Of The Rings had but with more innovative technology. (After all technology has changed a lot in the last 9 years!)
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will arrive on our screens December 26th of this year in Real 3D and IMAX 3D. Followed closely by the sequel; The Hobbit: There and Back Again which will arrive December 13th 2013!
