There has been an abundance of mystery and continued speculation regarding Brad Bird’s latest film Tomorrowland. What is known about the film so far is that many concepts for the film have come from a black box recently discovered in the labyrinth of storage areas in the basements of Walt Disney’s animation department. Whilst the contents of this box have revealed some elements of the film it has, itself, also become a source of intrigue.
Now that Bird has tweeted a picture of himself (shown above) standing in front of an old-school advert for The Carousel Of Progress ride of Disney World Florida and California, more questions are being asked of the film’s plot. It seems clear that the movie will be infusing its story with elements of Disney’s history but it has left people asking will the ride or the narrative of the ride feature in the film? Will it be a focus in the film or perhaps will it be used to travel? While the speculation may long continue you can check out the official plot of the film, due for release May 22nd 2015, below:
”Bound by a shared destiny, a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity and a former boy-genius inventor jaded by disillusionment embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space that exists in their collective memory as ‘Tomorrowland’.”
