British actor Alan Rickman, most familiar for his role as Severus Snape in Harry Potter, has sadly passed away aged 69 of cancer.
A statement from his family said: “The actor and director Alan Rickman has died from cancer at the age of 69. He was surrounded by family and friends.”
Rickman was also well-known for his appearances in Die Hard as Hans Gruber, Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves, Sense & Sensibility, Love Actually and many other classic films.
