To call Nicole Richie’s resume “impressive” would be an understatement especially since she didn’t even consider venturing into the world of fashion until five years ago. Now with a successful accessories line, range of top selling fragrances, and job as mentor on NBC’s Fashion Star all under her belt, it begged the question what was next for Richie? Creating a clothing line – obviously.
Constantly leaving us with style envy, it was only a matter of time before the LA ‘it girl’ decided to have a go at mastering the art of the needle and thread and believe me when I tell you she’s a pro.
Expanding her original business, House of Harlow 1960, to incorporate her new project, the thirty one year old’s clothing collection debut this summer and found fans in keen fashion followers who look up to her serene bohemian flair.
One piece which particularly caught our eye was her Cadence Dress. With Richie’s passion for striking in-your-face prints infused in the design the dress is a staple item when it comes to laid-back 60s dressing.
At $196.00 its perfect acceptable to wear this baby to class, work and even a much needed shopping trip with your gal pals. But, we find the piece is most valued when worn to the Wild West, with it practically begging to be styled in a Western way.
Team it up with a pair of military boots to channel this season’s grunge trend, sure, but feel free to go all out and wear it with a pair of beat up cow-boy boots and stacks of gold jewellery.
