Pippa Middleton has revealed that her infamous bridesmaid’s dress which she wore to her sister, Kate Middleton’s wedding was planned to be ‘insignificant’. Pippa caused quite a stir in the figure hugging white dress at the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding.
“I think the plan was not really for it to be a significant dress. Really just to sort of blend in with the train,” Middleton said. “I suppose it’s flattering, embarrassing, definitely. It wasn’t planned.”
The dress which was designed by Alexander McQueen creative director Sarah Burton led to a widespread debate about Pippa’s shapely figure. Many have accused the bridesmaid of stealing her sisters thunder but Pippa has made it clear that this certainly wasn’t her intention. When we look at images of the Duchess on her wedding day she confirms the fact that no one can outshine a bride on her wedding day.
“It sounds funny to say but we saw it as just a family wedding. I didn’t realise perhaps the scale of it until afterwards,” she told NBC. “Even walking through the Abbey… I didn’t see any TV cameras, so to me it was just performing in front of a lot of people and not necessarily the whole world.”
It is rumoured that the world’s most famous bridesmaid has been tapped by the NBC to become a reporter.
