Peter Philips, former creative director of Chanel Make-Up, has officially joined Dior Make-Up as their new creative and image director.
Having left Chanel last February, Philips introduced some of our favourite pieces including the Illusion D’Ombre eye shadows and Le Vernis nail colours. His love for make-up blossomed, as even after his departure he continued to create make-up for Chanel, including the famous gold faces at the Dallas Metiers d’Art show last winter.
“I am honoured by the responsibilities that are entrusted to me by Christian Dior Make-Up, whose values, savoir-faire and innovation I respect,” explained Philips. “I am very excited to work with all the teams involved and immerse myself in the world of Dior.”
There was rumour of a big move for Philips due to his absence at recent Paris Fashion Week shows, and for once in the fashion industry, the rumour rang true.
Philips will take over from Pat McGrath who has been in the role for over a decade, but we’re sure he will create the perfect make-up for the brand. His immense talent and unique vision will be put to the test for campaigns and shows alike, as well as new products for us!
