A new fashion award has been created in memory of L’Wren Scott. The venture was set up by The Art of Elysium, a Los Angeles based organisation that merges together the world of art, fashion and music to help children with serious illnesses.
Named after the designer herself and a girl called Amber – one of the first children to participate in a fashion workshop at The Art of Elysium – the L’Wren Scott Amber Award aims to celebrate emerging design talent, where participants will create a capsulate collection that benefits the Elysium Collections.
A spokesman for Scott’s label told WWD that pieces will be sold through the charity’s website and talks are currently underwear about appointing a retail partner for the designs. Watch this space.
