While HTF were out at this year’s glamorous Cannes Film Festival we bumped into the lovely Vicki Psarias; film-maker, professional blogger and all round legend! Vicki was kind enough to give us a look at her style choices for this years event so check out choices below and let us know what you think. I’ll hand you over to Vicki…
With my great friend and feature filmmaker Amancay TapiaI’m recently back from what can only be described as an epic time at the renowned, most glamorous festival of them all: The Cannes Film Festival in the South of France. My third time attending, I was there this time as both an award winning filmmaker (vpsarias.co.uk) and also a professional blogger (honestmum.com and mummysgotstyle.com) relishing every moment on the red carpet watching some of the greatest films Europe has to offer right now and of course dressing up for parties my colleagues and friends filmmaker Amancay Tapia and Casting Director Nicci Topping (featured in the pics) and I rocked most night (it’s a hard life, huh).
My gorgeous friend and colleague, Casting Director Nicci ToppingHere for Hit The Floor I’ll focus on the gorgeous outfits that made it in my bag to the Cote d’Azur this time round. Despite taking several designer dresses with me, Prada and Ghost mid length stunners and a huge pouffe-sleeved Hannah Marshall number gifted to me after I directed a film for the designer for London Fashion Week a few years back, none were worn even once!
It seemed too warm to be restricted and the constant transition from day to night screenings then party after party (told you it was a hard life) meant I opted for chic yet comfortable, high-end high street dresses for most of my time there.
Amancay wears Ralph Lauren, I wear H&M sheer panel spotty dress, Marc Jacobs watch and gifted Chanel sunglasses.I opted for laid back boho chic style by day- usually playsuits from Mango and Zara with fedoras and Chanel shades and even picked up a pretty silk and cotton mix maxi dress from a boutique (See above) while I was there.
By night, lace LBD’s and my favoruite bodycon in red ‘The Rachelle’ gifted by Fever London (http://www.feverdesigns.co.uk/) made me feel like a million dollars, perfect attire for swanky parties and promenading down the Croissette for late night screenings and yacht soirees (well, this was Cannes, darling). I did admittedly sneak in some sparkly Aldo flats when the heels got too much which by 5am they usually did!
Oh what a ball we had!
So, do you like my style?
