Blemish Balms, or more commonly known as BB Creams, have made their European debut in 2011 following their huge success in the Asian market. The main purpose of a BB Cream is to prevent the need to use numerous products by providing moisture, SPF protection as well as providing enough coverage to be used either as a foundation or as a make-up base depending on the person’s preference. We thought it was about time to test out one of these make-up bag must-haves, and we’re so glad we started off by trying out Lioele’s Triple The Solution BB Cream.
Let’s start with the packaging. This Lioele BB Cream comes in a 50ml plastic tube with a white and pink checkered design. The first plus to this product is the fact that it has a pump nozzle, which prevents wasting too much product while also being very hygienic.
Similar to other BB Creams available on the market, the main functions of Lioele’s Triple the Solution BB Cream are whitening, UV protection (SPF 30) and wrinkle care. In fact, the description found on the tube states that this product, “Makes your skin moist as yogurt and hyaluronic acid supply moisture and nutrition.”
The texture of this BB Cream is quite thick, but it goes on very smoothly, especially if it is buffed into the skin. We also found that it covers the skin’s imperfections, and therefore has a medium to high coverage when compared to other BB Creams. This results in having flawless make-up all day long, something which we are obsessed with. It is however important that only one layer of this BB Cream is applied to the skin as more layers will result in a cakey look.
The downside to most BB Creams is the shade selection. Unfortunately, the Lioele Triple the Solution BB Cream is no exception since it is available in only one shade, and can therefore be a little too whitening for medium to dark skinned girls. Nonetheless, if you prefer to use it just as a make-up base before applying foundation, its colour will not make that much of a difference.
