How cool is Levis? The company that invented the blue jean is applying new technologies to all of their products which can only be called innovative from the denim pioneer. Engaging with the community and local communities is at the core of what the brand does. In addition the brand has a strong desire to make the company an great place to work along with embedding sustainability into every part of the their business.

Friday August 8th saw the launch of the Levis Commuter Workspace in Shoreditch. Levis is inviting all commuters to gather, connect, tune up and work together from now until August 17th. Because of their core beliefs, Levis has given a resource-rich Workspace that has been designed to assist commuters in a creative and modern way. By offering music, social and cultural programming, free coffee, free Wi-Fi, free instructional workshops, free repair services provided by local bike mechanics and local artists collaborations.

Levis has also created a series of short films to celebrate and inspire commuters across the world to mark the opening of the Workspace. The film series, “The Ride” profiles three modern commuters where cycling is a way of life. Featuring in the London film is 23-year old James Massiah an avid cyclist (www.jamesmassiah.com), London born poet and DJ.

Below is a list of the dates and times for the Commuter Workspace:

LONDON WORKSPACE: 7TH AUGUST – 17TH AUGUST
31 NEW INN YARD, SHOREDITCH, EC2A 3EY
MONDAY – THURSDAY / 10AM-7PM
FRIDAY / 10AM – 9PM
SATURDAY & SUNDAY / 11AM – 8PM

8TH AUGUST: VINYL NIGHT
Independent Dalston record shop Kristina Records host a vinyl listening party and showcase. Join us for post-work drinks with new and rare tunes.
6 — 8 pm

9th AUGUST: EAST LONDON RIDE WITH TOKYOBIKE
Meet up at the workspace for a coffee before heading out on a ride led by Tokyobike through the East End parks and waterways.
11 – 2 pm

12TH AUGUST: FORUM- CIVIC FUTURES
A new wave of architects and design studios are transforming our cities with temporary installations and sustainable structures. Speakers include The Decorators and We Made That.
7 – 8:30 pm

14TH AUGUST: WORKSHOP- BIKE-POWERED CHOCOLATE LATHING
Work with the designer of the Plume Mudguard on a bicycle-powered chocolate lathe. Chocolate, Bicycle, and lathe will be provided — just drop in to turn a treat.
1 – 3 pm

15TH AUGUST : CLOSING PARTY WITH JAMES MASSIAH AND FRIENDS
Join us for drinks and music to celebrate the closing of our London Workspace! Gin & Tonics served by The Travelling Gin, in partnership with Whitley Neill. Free bike valet provided by London Cycling Campaign.
