If it is anything to go by, Kendall Jenner was born for the runway. The latest news on the 18-year-old reality star turned model; is that lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret is currently eyeing her up to become one of its official spokesmodels. If this is true, Jenner will join current Angels Candice Swanepoel, Karlie Kloss, Doutzen Kroes, Behati Prinsloo, Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Lily Aldridge and Lindsay Ellingson.
“[Victoria’s Secret] saw all the buzz she got from walking in New York Fashion Week. They’d love to lock in a contract with her,” a source revealed to InTouch magazine.
Jenner only began her modelling career in February this year, where she made her catwalk debut during New York Fashion Week for Marc Jacobs AW 2014. Since then she has walked for Chanel, Balmain and Givenchy; and not forgetting landing major magazine covers.
Earlier this year, Jenner was featured in Victoria’s Secret official photographer Russell James‘ book of nudes, titled Angels. The book includes numerous Victoria’s Secret models – thus adding fuel to the fire.
“I like to be shooting [models] when they haven’t emerged or they’re beginning to emerge. People like Kendall Jenner, who may be controversial, but I photographed her and I looked at her and thought, ‘She has something extraordinary’. And if she wasn’t who she was, I wouldn’t be thinking twice about her being a very big model,” said James.
For now, all we can do is wait until the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on December 2 to see if Kendall will be showing of her new wings, which for the first time will be held in London.
