JW Anderson is embarking on yet another fashion venture, this time designing camera bags. The fashion guru has teamed up with Nikon to create a line of leather accessories to coincide with the launch of his menswear collection at London Collections: Men next week.
When asked about the designs of the new pieces Anderson said, “It’s really just like a JW Anderson bag which holds a camera.” Anderson said that the inspiration behind his new designs was his grandpa’s forties influenced leather case. “Ultimately, cameras are very logical and we use them on a daily basis” he adds.
But what about his own photography skills? JW told Vogue: “The first picture I ever took I think was a panoramic view of the back of my house in Ireland. I was very proud of the picture, the sky looked nice. I always take a camera with me, there are always interesting objects to take pictures of.”
The designer will showcase his menswear collection on June 17th at 9am.
