Designer JW Anderson has appointed Simon Whitehouse as the first CEO for his label. Whitehouse worked previously at Matthew Williamson and Diesel but will now use his expertise in assisting Anderson in managing the design, retail and sales teams. Anderson describes Whitehouse as his “partner in crime“.
This new employment is the first major development since the investment by LVMH last year. Anderson tells The Business of Fashion: “The fashion customer is good and you’ve got to speak to them to get it out, but I feel that the world is changing where you can talk to the audience in a very simple way because you are cutting out the fluff”.
The way we see it is that Whitehouse has the experience working with a top label, but does he have what Anderson actually needs to build his small business label.
