Jenna Lyons is currently regretting one decision she made recently, that of firing Lena Dunham. The J Crew president and executive creative director was enlisted to join the cast of ‘Girls’. Playing Dunham’s character Hannah Horvath‘s boss at the magazine where she was working, Lyons dismissed the main protagonist of the show, and so made her own character redundant, too.
“It was not an honour,” Lyons said. “I killed myself off. I keep texting [Lena], and I’m like ‘You can freelance! I don’t want you to be gone, because I don’t want to be gone. Really, I didn’t mean it, you can come back!‘”
And, having “loved every second” of the filming experience, Lyons has advised that the cast and crew of ‘Girls’ might be seeing much more of her, whether they like it or not.
“I know that they are getting ready to start filming soon,” Lyons told The Cut. “I will just go out and stand outside like a stalker across from the trailer, and say, I’m here!“
Will Lyons manage to get the part again? We just have to wait and see!
