Katie Holmes and Jeanne Yang have ended their 5 year partnership as co-founders of fashion label, Holmes & Yang. A representative for the actress has said that the pair aren’t working on the line anymore, although they won’t give any reason.
“Jeanne enjoys the spotlight way more than Katie does,” a source told the New York Post. “Things have definitely soured between them… Katie’s living in New York and Jeanne’s living in LA, which hasn’t made it easier.”
Neither Holmes or Yang presented the collection during New York Fashion Week last month, and retailers like Barneys and Harvey Nichols no longer sell their products.
With Katie Holmes focusing on her acting career, as she limited herself to roles in New York after having Suri in 2006, the reasons behind the label split are kind of obvious… but 2014 may be her year.
She has recently finished filming The Giver with Meryl Streep, and has roles in Responsible Adults, Miss Meadows and Mania Days, all scheduled for release this year.
