Gucci will debut their make-up line with the face of Monaco Royal Charlotte Casiraghi, placing them firmly on the throne of luxury cosmetics.
The collection will include lip, eye, nail and face make-up, but also luxurious brushes and skin preparation products too. Never failing to give us super-sexy, strong looks on the runway, it follows naturally that the Gucci make-up will be bold in colour and for women who want to look sophisticated, strong and flawlessly made up.
“I have really enjoyed my relationship with Frida over these last four years, and I am now excited to work with her again on this signature product,” Casiraghi said of fronting Gucci’s fresh venture into Cosmetic territory.
WWD has reported that Procter & Gamble, who have worked with Gucci on their fragrances since 2006, will be producing the line. Pat McGrath is Gucci’s chosen make-up artist; the creative design director of Procter & Gamble’s beauty division, she is responsible for painting the faces of the models walking the Gucci’s ready-to-wear shows.
Campaign images of Charlotte Casiraghi shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, (who have previously captured the dramatic elegance of the Gucci brand in campaigns), will follow before the release of the make-up collection in September.
Sexy, strong and shimmering with glamour, Gucci is a brand that never puts a well-pedicured toe out of line when it comes to being sleek and elegant, and with the royal face of Charlotte Casiraghi fronting their campaign, the make-up line is sure to follow suit.
