Being the ultimate fashion girl today, one has to be quite tech-savvy, and if its anything to go by, the latest app will have you dressed in no time.
Referred to as the Shazam for fashion, ASAP54 is an app created by Brazilian Daniela Cecilio, which allows its users to upload pictures of things that inspire them and are then in return sent back items which are shoppable.
Cecilio said: “We launched the app one month ago and we have had the most amazing response so far. We were featured on the App Store as the best app of the week in over 135 countries for the first two weeks after we launched; in one day we had 13 000 downloads! We are amazed by the engagement of our users and by how creative they are when using the app.”
The app has been structured similar to that of instagram, with its small square picture results that can be viewed on a blog-style feed, also allowing its users to follow those who inspire them and even shop their results.
If a user is a disappointed with the suggestions received, they are then put in touch with a personal styling team who is able to manually find them new results within 24 hours.
Cecilio continued her statement, by adding: “One of our top ASAPers posts mainly art, and it is amazing to see how it translates so well into fashion. When we came up with the idea I personally thought that it could be used for anything that you see – landscapes, furniture, food, everything – but I never imagined that this is the way people would use it.”
Ladies and gents, take a step ahead of the pack and get downloading the app ASAP. For more information visit: http://www.asap54.com.
