With the standard of hosting designer fashion shows in New York every NYFW, is it feasible to say it’s okay to change the venue up every now and then? Well, the camp at Christian Dior think so.
Alexander Wang took that chance last February when he decided to defy the normal and host his show at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Dior have decided to follow in his footsteps and host a show in the same venue.
Wang did receive some back lash and complaints from some of those in the fashion industry over the decision. But, Dior have thought ahead, they are offering lucky attendees a round-trip, door-to-door car service for guests. The label have even gone as far to state that they will offer a ferry service for those who want it. Now isn’t that clever?
