Bobbi Brown‘s titles include makeup artist, chief creative officer, author and now editor-in-chief. Brown announced on Wednesday morning via a blog post of her new position as the editor-in-chief of beauty at Yahoo News.
On the blog post, Brown wrote: “As EIC, I’ll work to curate smart, strong content that will teach women how to be their best selves. Of course it goes without saying this role will never take me away from my first love – Bobbi Brown Cosmetics. I’ll continue as Chief Creative Officer of the company, and am confident that the two positions will inform and strengthen each other.”
Brown will officially take up post on April 21. Yahoo has had a series of news hires of lately, these include Katie Couric who started in late 2013 as the company’s global anchor, as well as Megan Liberman, Matt Bai and David Pogue, who all came over from the New York Times.
Not only is Bobbi Brown Cosmetics one of the most recognised American beauty brands, but it also reaches another significant topic of being accessible and its take to natural makeup, has aligned itself with Yahoo, who seeks to reach a broader audience and gain credibility as a news source.
