Renowned for her love of pink and pop designs, as well as her iconic show finale of cartwheeling down her runway, Betsey Johnson is one of fashion’s most unique designers, so with confirmation for a line of activewear to be released in autumn, we can’t think of anyone better to get us inspired for a workout.
After being declared bankrupt in 2012 and shutting her store, it wasn’t long before she dusted herself off and started her long climb back to the top. Having announced a reality show, then bringing her designs back at a lower price range, now the news of a new line signals a growth from strength to strength.
Inspired by her fall 2013 runway show, aptly titled “BJ Kicks A!”, her new activewear line promises her trademark neon brights, patterned lycra and vibrant energy. Johnson informs that the collection will be: “the perfect mix of performance, prettiness and punk,” and promises to incorporate fishnet, peplums and bows.
Upon it’s release in Autumn, the range will be priced upwards from $49 and available from Macy’s and Nordstrom. For more from Betsey Johnson, head to her website.
