Love is a strange thing. It can hit at any time, any where and without any notice at all and change people in a way they never thought possible. It can be the happiest emotion of your life but can also equally bring you heartache and sadness.
This is the story of two people bought together by love. Love so strong that nothing could break it apart. Love so strong that it was created purely from a funny whatsapp conversation on a cold winters day. Love that will probably end in tears but make a fairly amusing feature on a music website. Love that was completely made up for a laugh to fool all our friends! REAL LOVE!!

Chapter 1: It Started With A (WhatsApp) Kiss
Was a cold day. A Tuesday I believe; Valentines Day. A boy and girl chatted away on Whatsapp about the days events. That boy was me, Chris ‘Danger’ Hines. Sometime a picture of a dog would be sent (Dlog!), sometimes a cat and sometimes it was just outright naughty business! Then around 4pm something happened! “What is this!” I yelped! On my whatsapp was a single “x”. “A kiss? A kiss from a girl? A girl on Whatsapp? A girl called Stephanie Stevens’Wade!”. Needless to say, I was over the moon.
“Maybe we should meet up and kiss this out in person?” I swiftly replied in haste! After 15 minutes the word “YES!” was sent down to the phone screen and there was much rejoicing! I had a date!
Chapter 2: The Date
How cheesy of me to send what seemed like a virtual valentines card to my editor. Nevertheless it got me a date on the most romantic day of the year! No time was wasted in meeting up, within the hour he met me at Waterloo train station with a bunch of flowers and smile stretched across his face. First we went out for a drink. As I listened to Chris talk about his love for Demi Lovato and Lights I noticed a white patch in his beard next to his mouth. They couldn’t be grey hairs surely?! So I focussed and it was some sort of white substance?! I couldn’t tell him as he might smudge it across his face and get all embarrassed! So I left it, stopping myself from giggling. Several drinks later we went for a wander round Hyde Park and out of the blue he pulled me in and kissed me. A spontaneous and rather minty kiss.
Chapter 3: Becoming Official
So we did it! We became official and I was the happiest man on the earth. We were like Troy and Gabriella from High School Musical! News soon spread and our friends were exstatic…
Even everyone from the magazine was over the moon…
The calls soon started flooding in…
Even Mum liked it!
We are soo in love and NOTHING will change that!
Chapter 4: Up Up Down Down Left Left Right Right B A Start (aka CHEATING!)
After we pranced around London hand in hand sometimes resulting into something from an old dating agency TV ad where we’re walk hugging, we finally arrived at my apartment. As I put my beautiful flowers in a vase Chris hunts for the bathroom. His phone goes off next to me, it’s a message from ‘Shaznay’.
‘Thank u 4 my early valentines gift last nite ;) Look 4ward 2 seeing u again tmrw night xxxxx’.
After he compares us to Troy and Gabriel (yeah that’s right, a HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL reference) and a ton of other cheesy famous couples I wondered who his TRUE Gabriel was?! HMM!?
Who the HELL is Shaznay?! If it’s Shaznay Lewis then that’s not fair, I loved All Saints! He get’s back from the bathroom with that toothpaste still in his bloody beard, doesn’t he ever look in the mirror?!
After I lob the vase of disgusting flowers at him and yell at how stupid and gullible I felt especially after plastering it all over Facebook he stood there soggy and silent. He doesn’t deny ‘cheating’ on me or being a complete ass. So I send his infected phone and minty beard on their way.
What a huge Valentines Day fail.
Chapter 5: What Have I Done!!
I couldn’t believe I slipped up soo soon! What was I thinking?!?! I had just lost the love of my life and now I felt like curling into a ball and crying until I slowly died. Why would I be soo stupid as to hook up with some skank just for a quick bit of action when the most beautiful girl I had ever layed eyes upon was there in front of me all the time. I felt soo bad!
All I wanted to do was say im sorry… it just wasn’t that easy.
What could I tell my friends though? I didn’t wanna confess I had messed up. I would look a right fool. At that moment I had a great idea!! “I know….I’ll tell them…….”
Chapter 6: Goodbye My Lover
My poor phone is finally having a rest today. I’ve answered call after call from Chris apologising again and again, ‘mistake’ this ‘she was a skank’ that. After he embarrassed me like that in front of all of my friends and family I wasn’t going to forgive him! It started off so well but it clearly did with Shaznay too! It’s a shame, apart from the toothpaste and his odd adoration for sloths he was perfect but…HIS LOSS! Maybe I should get my revenge…
