Celebrities receive thousands of comments on their Instagram posts and an equally massive number of replies to their tweets, so it’s understandable that they come across as untouchable (or, indeed, unreachable) – who has the time to sift through all those messages from fans? Taylor Swift, however, has long been known to return the love to her loyal supporters, frequently using her Tumblr account to respond to fans’ questions and comments.
The singer has shown her empathetic side once again by giving some heartfelt advice to a 15-year-old Tumblr user, who calls herself Stormie, who wrote on her blog: “I’ve been feeling so alone lately and left out of everything and so terrified of school starting and being even more alone next week and knowing taylor is there is really comforting.”
Swift was quick to respond to the teenager with some lovely advice that was undoubtedly much-needed.
“I hate that you’re feeling this way and it’s so hard not to dwell on our fears and doubts, because we want spoilers for how it’s going to turn out…but in reality, we just have to go through life not knowing what’s next. It’s scary but it’s also the wildest, most thrilling part of life. Just when you think it’s going to get worse, it could get better instead. It WILL.
You’ve always been there with kind, thoughtful words for me when I’m down and I just need you to know how important you are.
Knowing your worth sometimes comes without any proof at all. You’re worth more than flaky friends and people who dismiss you, or underestimate you. Sometimes it seems like that’s all you get, but it’s not all you’ll ever get. Believe that. Love you.”

This news follows Miley Cyrus‘ public questioning of Taylor Swift’s ‘role model’ status. In a recent interview with Marie Claire, Cyrus slated Swift’s revenge-themed Bad Blood video, saying: “I’m a bad role model because I’m running around with my titties out? I’m not sure how titties are worse than guns.”
Fair point, Miley, but it can’t be denied that Swift’s heart is in the right place, especially when she’s taking the time to send personal messages to her young fans.
