‘Bitch Better Have My Money’ aside, Rihanna has another reason to celebrate this week, having been crowned the first artist to ever cross the Recording Industry Association of America’s 100 million song certifications.
Easily beating, Taylor Swift, who has 88 million, and Katy Perry, who has 79 million, the 100 units are made-up of 37 separate songs including: ‘We Found Love’, ‘Stay’, ‘What’s My Name’ and ‘Only Girl (In The World)’ to name a few.
The CEO of RIAA, Gary Sherman released a statement, which read: “She [Rihanna] has not only surpassed RIAA’s one-hundred million mark, but also is the first artist to do so. It’s an historic feat and a testament to an extraordinary career.”
Hats off to you RiRi.
