Easter weekend is upon us, which means a four (FOUR!) day weekend and a good excuse to eat all the chocolate possible. Luckily, it’s been quite a busy week for music, so you can entertain yourselves with some cool music videos while simultaneously stuffing your faces.
The Word Alive – Trapped
Taken off their new album Dark Matter, just released the other week, The Word Alive has released a new video for their latest single ‘Trapped’. The boys will be back in the UK in May for Slam Dunk Festival weekend, with an additional London show at Boston Music Room.
Black Foxxes – Husk
A fiery new track from Black Foxxes (that’s a funny pun because there’s a car set aflame in the video), serving as a sneak peek of the band’s forthcoming debut album, set for release later this year. Having toured with the likes of Lower Than Atlantis and Moose Blood in the past, the band continue to keep themselves busy with planned tour dates with Nothing But Thieves and Milk Teeth before hitting some music festivals this summer.
Patent Pending – Six Feet
Patent Pending are such a kooky band, so you can always leave it to them to unleash an upbeat, fun-natured track. They’ve released the video for ‘Six Feet’ in anticipation of their April UK headline tour. The video sees singer Joe Ragosta going through the motions mundanely, and he explains: “This video holds a lot of meaning for me. I’d been having a terrible year. I spent two full months just wasting away being miserable. I was depressed and just down on myself and I was letting the negative side of everything win. I found myself questioning why I even bother making music and for the first time in my entire life I was starting to peak over to the other side of the fence to see what “the real world” might have for me. Diving deeper into this song and making this music video reminded me why I love making music and why I started this band in the first place.”
Strange Bones – God Save The Teen
Our final video on the list for this week is the new track from British rock band Strange Bones, whose EP was recorded at the infamous Studio 606 with Foo Fighters guitarist Chris Shiflett.
