[tps_header]People of the UK have always claimed that, while our nation is small, it holds some of the best festivals in the world. There are music fans all over that are jealous of the incredible line-ups and special performances that we get at the likes of Reading & Leeds, Download, Slam Dunk and more… but the U.S. isn’t actually too far behind when it comes to putting on a mind-blowing show in the middle of a field. At least Stateside you know you won’t be going to sleep on the lullaby that is, “Alan?!”
There are brilliant festivals all over the United States, but we’ve put together five of our best so you can look on, green with envy… or book a flight out of Heathrow ASAP. [/tps_header]

Firefly
Firefly Festival is held in the East Coast town of Dover, Delaware. If you asked the average British person “what is Delaware famous for?”, there’s a good chance they wouldn’t be able to answer you… though the average American wouldn’t know the answer either. Luckily the state will be hosting some incredible acts across four days this summer, including the likes of Blink-182, Kings Of Leon, PVRIS and The Struts. It’s certainly not the most hard rockin’ festival in the U.S., but it’s just enough to whet the appetite of indie rock fans. A four-day pass to Firefly is $319 AKA about £220… only a couple of quid more than a Reading weekend ticket!
