Introducing: Scarlet Baxter

Scarlet Baxter is a soul, r’n’b and pop artist from North London. Singing for as long as she can remember and having attended musical theatre school, Scarlet is no stranger to performance. Working alongside writer Dominic Ireland and the likes of John McLaughlin, Jud Mahony (Michael Jackson, Chris Brown, Dolly Parton) and Natalie DeLucia (Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera), she has already produced an EP of original material.

Previous track ‘Backsliding’ has attracted more than 45,000 YouTube views and gained Scarlet a wave of interest from big music labels including Sony as well as building the local buzz around the up-and-coming talent. A remix by Super Stylers even saw the track reach the Top 20 of the dance chart, certainly proving that her songs have the potential to be big hits. Thanks to the success of ‘Backsliding’, Scarlet was asked to perform at London Ethnic’s party as part of London Fashion Week, been played on BBC Introducing and a string of local radio shows and has taken to the stage at famous venues including Camden’s Barfly.

As her next release, Scarlet’s upcoming single ‘Stuck’ is a smooth ballad, showing off her powerful vocals. Full of soul combined with pop energy, it’s a song all about being stuck in love with someone you don’t actually want to be with. Take a listen to ‘Stuck’ below!
