Introducing: Pavilions

HTF introduce to you one of Liverpool’s hottest bands of the moment, Pavilions. These fresh faced rockers are planning on taking the UK by storm and HTF want in! Read our exclusive introducing of the five piece and our chat with the band themselves inside..

Fresh faced post hardcore rockers Pavilions hail from Liverpool and formed just over twelve months ago! With a self titled EP packed full of bangers and a new music video owning over 5,000 views on youtube already under their belts it is without a shadow of a doubt these guys are going to be huge!

HTF wanted to have a quick chat with the band about their awesome new music video ‘Science & Gods’, where we can get hold of their music and how they plan on taking the world by storm in 2012!

HTF: Hi guys how the devil are you?

We’re doing really great at the moment we’re all getting pretty excited for the second half of this year!

HTF: So recently you did a new music video for your track ‘Science & Gods’, how did that go?

It was our first music video shoot so we really didn’t know what to expect, thankfully we were working with Daniel Peters, that guy is a such a genius, we went crazy on the first three takes; Headen almost broke part of the set as soon as we arrived! Was such a great experience. The whole place smelt like a bakery near the end of the day because we put cinnamon onto Tel’s drum kit to look like dust and we thought it turned out awesome! We all had a chance of manning the leaf blower to help him get it off afterwards, we used it for the second half of the song were all the paper flies through the set and the lights start flickering, it was great fun.

HTF: Where was it shot, the house in the video is rather scary?

It was shot down in Bristol, we had to set off at 6am to get down there on time so we were sure to stock up on as many cans of Monster and Red Bull as possible and the director failed to say he had a bit of a phobia of the dark! We were deep in the woods for that opening shot and it was pitch black! It was even worse though when we had to drive home at midnight through the pitch black country lanes, every road we went down ended up being blocked by trees or roadworks, it was like Silent Hill or something.

HTF: When can we expect your next single?

We have released a lyric video for our track ‘Family Tree’ on YouTube just to give the fans something more, It’s probably the most personal song on the EP.

HTF: For fans that don’t know of you, where can they get a hold of your music?

Our debut self-titled EP is available on itunes or if you would prefer a hardcopy head over to www.pavilions.bigcartel.com. We’ve also got some brand new merch up there too!

HTF: Have you got any tours or live dates lined up?

We will be having our first headline show in our hometown of Liverpool on the 26th August in Shipping Forecast, we want to make it huge so hopefully a lot of people will come down! We are also going to be supporting the awesome Yashin at the 02 Academy in Liverpool on 4th July, so catch us at one of those shows!

HTF: What have you guys got planned to get your music out their in 2012/2013?

We’ve been working on some brand new tracks and they are sounding great! We’re going to be heading down to LongWave Studios to record our second EP with Romesh Dodangoda who’s recorded some great bands like Funeral For A Friend, The Blackout, Twin Atlantic, so we’re really excited about that. The EP is going to be called ‘The Future’s Mine To Make’.

HTF: Tell us a random fact about your band or yourselves?

Oh god….Coop and Tezz went head to head in an eating competition once, it was ridiculous… It was a whole pound of fries, a massive sidedish, and the biggest burger you’ve ever seen!! It had 6 burgers on it, loads of bread, cheese and bacon! Tezz couldn’t handle it but Coop was seconds under the record and got a photo on the wall of fame! To be honest, we don’t think there was any winners in that competition!

HTF: Finally, have you got any messages or anything you would like to add?

Yeah we just want to say thankyou to everyone who has either come to a show or bought our music it means a lot, please check out our debut music video ‘Science & Gods’ and come follow us on Twitter @pavilionsband and on Facebook! THANKYOU!

HTF: Thanks for chatting to us! HTF x
