The fashion team at Hit The Floor have prepared another Fashion Forecast especially for you with the aim to give you some inspiration of what you can wear according to this week’s weather forecast.
Monday 13th May
Monday is said to be mostly cloudy with a few showers. To make up for such a dull day, we decided to incorporate this checked long sleeved shirt from Chiara Fashion into our outfit. Retailing at only £9.95, you can’t go wrong with it! Team it with a pair of black skinny jeans and a white cami and you’re good to go. If at any time the sun’s out, you can also tie this shirt around your waist to get an instant 90s feel. For the shoes, we chose this pair of black lace-up flatforms from Boohoo. Apart from being very on trend, they are being sold for only £12.00. Bargain!
Tuesday 14th May
The temperature will go down to 13 degrees on Tuesday and scattered showers will complete the day. To put a bit of fun into our day, we decided to play with colours, even though this outfit consists of earthy tone pieces. To get this look, wear your favourite pair of black jeans with this cosy Annie knit jumper from Monki. Instead of a jacket, we opted for this khaki military shirt from H&M, which is being sold for £29.99. Finish off the look with a pair of black boots and a statement necklace. We chose the Jeffrey Campbell Everly boots and a gold chunky chain necklace.
We are opting for a sporty look on Wednesday, since scattered showers will also characterise this day. Being super comfortable and flattering, the Topshop Leigh Jeans are a must-have piece. Pair it with a navy blue jumper, such as this one from Nelly, and finish off the look with a denim jacket. We are loving this Pepe Jeans jacket, also from Nelly. A pair of white Converse goes perfectly well with this outfit, and will give you that extra sporty touch.
Thursday 16th May
No rain is forecasted for Thursday, so we are celebrating by wearing black sandals from ASOS. Being flat and so lightweight, these sandals are essential for the coming summer months. With highs of 15 degrees, wear the sandals with a pair of black high-waisted jeans and a crop top, such as this pink one from Debenhams. The good news is that the price of this crop top is now down to £9.99 from £14.99. Accessorise the outfit with a black handbag. We chose this handbag with zip detail from Topshop.
Friday 17th May
We have chosen an all-black outfit for Friday, probably reflecting the dull and rainy weather. Waterproof boots are therefore mandatory. A pair of black leather Dr Marten boots will do the job perfectly. These can be bought from Motel Rocks for £100. To continue with the grungy theme of the boots, wear with a pair of black denim Levis shorts and a lightweight strappy top, such as this one from Zara. Finish off the look perfectly with this Lace kimono-style cardigan, available from H&M for £24.99 and accessorise with this Topshop Cord and Stone collar necklace from Nordstrom. On Friday, the temperature will be around 16 degrees, but if you’re cold, you can always wear a pair of black opaque tights with this outfit.
Saturday 18th May
For our favourite day of the week, we have opted for this striped black and white dress from Topshop. Priced at £30.00, it can be worn during the day as styled above, and can then be dressed up for a Saturday night out with different shoes and accessories. With highs of 14 degrees and chances of rain showers, wear the dress with a black leather jacket, a black handbag, and a pair of black boots, such as these from New Look. For a night time look, swap the boots with sky-high heels or high-heeled boots, and wear a black clutch instead of a satchel.
Sunday 19th May
Once again, it is possible that there will be some rain showers on Sunday, but the temperature will be around 16 degrees. For a day out at the mall or a Sunday lunch, we have teamed this asymmetric pleated skirt from Fashion Union (priced at £12.00) with a grey crop top from Glamorous. To give the outfit that edgy touch, wear with your black leather jacket, or if you can afford it, this leather jacket from Net-a-Porter, and finish off the look with a pair of black boots. These cut-out Topshop boots are currently on our wishlist.
