Another date to add to the ever growing UK festival calendar, Saturday 17th September sees the Boundary Brighton in its inaugural year.
A brand new festival for the south coast, giving us high hopes for what’s to come. Boundary will be joining forces with three local late night spots – Concorde 2, Patterns and The Arch – to host their own stages and bringing us main stage level acts across the day.
Boundary Brighton promises to cover all bases offering a mix of “house, dub, basement, techno, drum and bass, breaks, electronica and even a little bit of crazy jazz.”
We can’t wait to get down south and see what all the fuss is about, here are the top 5 acts you shouldn’t miss.
Groove Armada
Proving they can command each and every stage they grace, GA have been pretty busy of late. From main stages to intimate, sweaty club basements, GA know no bounds. This summer they have been holding down residencies with party heavyweights, Elrow, Viva Warriors and Antz. Their DJ set will promise to throw your hands in the air and give you that feel good house vibe that we have come to expect from the dance music legends.
Seth Troxler
Headlining The Arch stage, where Elrow party giants will be calling home for the day, is none other than Seth Troxler. If you don’t yet know what Elrow is, and you have been living under a rock, then all you need to know is this will be a full-on assault on the senses. Seth will obviously have a few tricks in his bag, with his breed of Detroit house and techno it will as ever, be a hedonistic journey that you won’t forget in a hurry.
Jackmaster
Each time I see this guy, he seems to wipe the floor with the previous set I’ve witnessed. Maturing, taking it more seriously or whatever it is, Jackmaster is proving to be a force to be reckoned with. Headlining the Patterns warehouse, he will be bringing you an energetic rave of hammering house, joyful crowd pleasers, and surprising acapella, all fused together with his infectious energy and yearn for throwing one hell of a party.
Jaguar Skills
One thing you can be sure of is that Jaguar Skills, the faceless mashup extraordinaire will bring you everything from hip hop, grime, dancehall and beyond! His mixing skills are nothing short of impeccable, and regardless of the genres played, you need to witness this ninja at least once to appreciate it.
Richy Ahmed
Playing under Seth at the Arch and Elrow stage is home-grown talent, Richy Ahmed. His brand of Balearic beats and bouncy tech house will go down an absolute storm, set against the backdrop of Elrow’s twisted fun house.
