5 Of The Weirdest Names Musicians Have Called Their Kids!

Musicians tend to be very much creatives and sometimes this can over-run into their private lives One area we are increasingly seeing this happen is in the names of their children. It seems like Sarah, Dave and Jessica are just way too normal these days so here is our run down of 5 of the weirdest kids names from the music world!

Frank Zappa – Moon 

If you have ever heard Frank Zappa’s music then his kid having a strange name is not really much of a surprise. Moon by itself seems like it could be a sweet name but when you also realise her middle name is Unit it take a whole new bizarre spin. Did we also mention his other kids are called Dweezil, Ahmet Emuukha Rodan and let’s not forget Diva Thin Muffin Pigeen. Bonkers!

Jermaine Jackson – Jermajesty

His brother Michael Jackson was never great at names, especially calling one of his ‘Blanket’ as a nickname, and it seems the silly name theme runs in the family. Regal names such as Harry, William and George are popular baby names but calling your child Jermajesty just takes it to a whole new level! It’s definitely unique and very fitting with his pop-royalty status I guess!

Kanye West – North

Only Kanye West would name his daughter after a direction. I mean, it is kind of cute though! Let’s just hope he doesn’t name any follow up’s East, South or even West West! Being Kanye though, anything could happen.

Alice Cooper – Calico

When I think of Calico I think of the breed of cat. It seems shock rocker Alice Cooper on the other hand thinks of it as the perfect name for his daughter. Maybe he just really likes cats? After-all he’s a big softy under all the make-up!

John Mellencamp – Speck Wildhorse

God knows what was going through John Mellencamp’s mind with this one. When I think of the word “speck” I think of a speck of dust. Maybe with the added middle-name of Wildhorse the two combined means “tiny horse?” God knows! Either way you won’t forget Speck Wildhorse’s name in a hurry.
