Sleep, the daddies of all things stoner, have made a storming comeback with their first official release in over ten years.
‘The Clarity’, a near ten minute opus of trip inducing, weighty riffs, has been released as part of this year’s Adult Swim’s Summer Singles, and is available as a free download. Sleep themselves have described the song as “a lyrical follow-up to a lifetime of marijuana enjoyment”.
When pressed about any possibilities of a new studio album in the wake of this release and their current tour dates in North America, the band were cryptic as usual, stating that “It would be impossible to describe any new material from Sleep that does not already exist …”
