After announcing that he will retire from “public life” Transformers star Shia LaBeouf recently quit the forthcoming comedy ‘Rock The Kasbah‘ starring Bill Murray, Bruce Willis, Zoey Deschanel and Kate Hudson.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, LeBeouf left the production under “amicable” but undisclosed conditions and is now set to be replaced by Scott Caan, who viewers may know from Steven Soderbergh’s “Ocean’s” films where he played the tougher half of the Malloy brothers, Turk.

LaBeouf is trying very hard to renounce his celebrity, in recent months he’s been involved in a few controversial events: the fight he almost started in a South London pub after a man allegedly insulted a member of his entourage, the fight he got into outside a bar in Vancouver with a total stranger after the pedestrian allegedly insulted Shia, the zany art exhibition he set up in Los Angeles called #IAMSORRY.

The message though remains unclear, is he trying to redeem himself from being part of American celebrity culture, is he trying to get a attention from a more elevated crowd?

His only upcoming role is alongside Brad Pitt in the World War 2 drama Fury due to be released in November of this year, with no other projects in the pipeline.
